Welcome to Mind Over Legal Matter®, where we approach Florida Bar Essays one mindful step at a time!

I have been tutoring for the Florida portion of the bar exam since 2013 and have had great success with students. Since 2012, I have also been a grader for practice Florida and UBE essays for several law schools as well as a reputable commercial company. In a previous life, I was an educator and several years later, became a lawyer. As an attorney, I practiced as an Assistant Public Defender upholding every individual’s Constitutional rights as well as a former litigator in a prestigious civil litigation firm. After awhile, I felt the urge to teach again and began teaching at a local law school, primarily focusing on essay writing for the Florida Bar Exam.

Currently, I tutor for the Florida Bar Exam with a specific focus on essay writing and how to conquer the Florida portion of the exam. Mindfulness and gratitude is part of my daily routine to stay grounded! I am also a grateful mom, wife, and animal lover! I have a 3 pound toy poodle that is a part of our family. I also save turtles that wander near our house, almost on a daily basis! My favorite hobbies include reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my family. Every day I wake up saying out loud at least 3 things I am grateful for, and also end the day with a gratitude meditation and prayer.

FAQ

What does the course cover?

The course primarily focuses on the essay portion of the Florida Bar Exam. As an added bonus, however, there are also multiple choice questions that go along with most videos to get you warmed up on the black letter law for essay practice. Another added bonus is that you can submit TWO practice essays from the course to be graded by MOLM as well as 45 Florida Multiple Choice practice questions are included in the course!

In the essay portion of the online course, the primary focus will be on the following subjects that are commonly tested on the essay portion of the Florida Bar Exam: Torts, Torts Products Liability, Florida Con Law, Federal Con Law, Contracts (UCC Art 2 and Common Law), Secured Transactions, Commercial Paper, Property, Criminal, Trusts and Ethics overview.

It is a completely self-paced online course – you decide when you start and when you finish. It is recommended that you give yourself approximately 4-6 weeks to complete the course, so that you are not rushing through the material. In a pinch, you could do all the videos in one week or even just a few days, but that is not recommended and is not effective.

There are approximately 40 essay videos. Other shorter videos (3-10 mins) include specific essay strategies and tips for specific subjects. There is an approximate total of 17 hours of video footage. **UPDATE: Delinquency/Dependency is no longer tested as of 2020. Those videos have been removed.

BONUS: To help you with Florida Multiple Choice practice, there are also 45 practice questions of Florida Multiple Choice subjects.

How long do I have access to the course?

You have 120 days OR until the bar exam begins (whichever comes first), to access the course once you begin. After enrolling, you have 120 day access to this course across any and all devices you own. You can log in at any time of the day and continue where you left off. Once the bar exam session begins (that corresponds with your enrollment), your access to the course will be discontinued and completed.

What if I am unhappy with the course?

We would never want you to be unhappy!

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, and have watched 3 videos or less of the online course and completed 3 quizzes or less, then please contact us within the first 7 days of purchase and we will give you a full refund. Watching the INTRODUCTION TO COURSE video does NOT count as one of your 3 videos.

Therefore, in order to qualify for a refund within the first 7 days of purchase, you must have watched 3 videos or less and/or completed 3 quizzes or less.

If you begin watching a video and then 5 minutes later decide to switch to another video, then that counts as two videos watched. The same applies for a quiz. If you begin to take a quiz in a particular subject and then a couple of questions later you decide to take another quiz, then that will count as taking TWO quizzes.

Watching more than 3 videos and/or completing more than 3 quizzes will not qualify for a full refund.
